Along the oxbow of the Connecticut River in Northampton, Massachusetts, USA This visual book brings together photographs, short essays, and archival materials that introduce the outdoor art exhibition "The Swamp Show," which was held from October 8th to 10th, 2021, and the unusual history surrounding the exhibition venue.

The exhibition features 26 artists from the local area as well as New Jersey, New York, California, Texas, and Vermont.

The artworks ranged from paintings made from recycled materials, stained glass, sculptures, ceramics, and wind chimes, and were installed at high and low points among the silver maple and green ash trees. Some pieces seemed to float on the water's surface, while others were submerged in the marsh water. Accessible only by canoe, it was a unique exhibition that allowed visitors to experience the natural landscape together.
