"THE DESIGN STORY OF J.LEAGUE" is a special book commemorating the 30th anniversary of the J.League.
This book examines the 30th anniversary of the J.League from the perspective of design. It delves into themes such as logos, emblems, uniforms, mascots, merchandise, and advertising related to the J.League through valuable documents and interviews with people involved in the early and current J.League.
Our store would like to give a strong push to design archives and cultural materials from the 1990s.
In particular, the section titled "The creation of the early mascots, emblems, and merchandise" is a very interesting interview that gives a glimpse into the situation at the time, and the uniform section is packed with interesting content, both reading and visually, featuring the cooperation of the notable British uniform shop Classic Football Shirts.
This is a must-have book for anyone who follows overseas culture or soccer (including me). I think it will be a great opportunity to recognize the existence of an extremely unique and fascinating culture here in Japan, which is unparalleled in the world, called the J.League.
