Resampled, overseen by Joe Reilly! KFAX5: RUDEBOYS - Mascots of the early hardcore jungle rave scene, a comprehensive history of dance music characters from various genres such as techno, jungle, and rave, from the early 90s.
From the early to mid-1990s, characters (mascots) became ubiquitous in the jungle music scene, serving as a badge of authenticity that reflected the music's street credibility. The baggy-pants and baseball-cap-wearing characters popularized by labels such as Suburban Base, Boogie Times, and Ruff Kut embodied and symbolized the tough, outsider attitude prevalent in the scene at the time.
This work features a diverse range of characters, from well-known to obscure, that appeared on record center labels.
Released by KFAX, the publishing division of Hong Kong-based record label "Klasse Wrecks," run by Luca Lozano and Mr. Ho.
