¥7,200 (Tax not included)

This is the most important collection of drawings of his career, linking his own life with the culture of Southern California.

Skater, photographer, artist... Ed Templeton is a man among men who has stood at the top of all fields that everyone aspires to, and who has earned the title of "(Sub)Culture King". This major retrospective includes 87 drawings that he created over 30 years from 1990 to 2021.

This work expresses the stylized beauty of Southern California's skate/surf culture, which he knows well as a former world champion pro skater, and the fluctuating emotions unique to youth. Many of the works are portraits, and in contrast to the simplicity of the body lines, the faces are depicted in impressive detail. The cool, indifferent expressions of the subjects represent the anti-establishment attitude of youth, but the loving understanding and admiration of the feelings of young people is a deep-rootedness that is characteristic of Ed's experience. Other personal works include self-portraits and works featuring his wife and collaborator Deanna.
Ed Templeton was raised by his grandparents, and the book features stationery collected by his grandfather, as well as a portrait of his grandmother in her later years at the end of the book, expressing his gratitude to her for guiding him down this path by saying that "art enriches life." This is an important collection of works that links his own life with the culture of Southern California.
