These days, we can easily collect an abundance of images at our fingertips. Collected from the internet and arranged on a screen, these images resemble a tapestry of enigmatic symbols. Artist Dan Grujivic depicts people embracing and playing, a reflection on the information-saturated digital society in which we live.
As if searching for the pieces of a puzzle, Grujivic combines paintings of men and women dancing, jumping, stretching, and embracing to create rich compositions, and furthermore, with his distinctive linework, copying, and soft colors, he elevates the mundane into something fascinating and sensual. This exhibition will provide us with an opportunity to seriously consider our relationship with the world.
In addition to the exhibited works, the long-awaited new collection "TWO" will also be available for purchase at the venue. Please look forward to Dan Grujivic's first solo exhibition in Japan.
