We are pleased to present "Under Pressure," a two-person exhibition by Worcester, Massachusetts-based artist B. Thom Stevenson and Tokyo-based artist Shinknownsuke.

The two artists, who live in the US and Japan and influence each other, will explore the essence of the fundamental creativity of artists who face difficult situations every day in modern society, where they are constantly under pressure from work, relationships, and family.

A total of over 30 drawings by both artists will be on show for the first time at the venue. In addition to the exhibited works, new screen prints and merchandise will also be available for purchase. We look forward to seeing you there.

B. Thom Stevenson
A Worcester, Massachusetts-based artist, he works through drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, and performance. He explores the intersections of subcultures by sampling niche yet ubiquitous elements—flyers, DIY culture, cult horror films, vintage quilts, sculptures—and combining them with original materials to form his own unique vocabulary. He has previously provided visuals for apparel brands such as JUNYA WATANABE, COMME des GARÇONS, BRAIN DEAD, and STANCE, as well as merchandise for Vampire Weekend, record jackets for A-Trak, and displays for Hermès and Marc Jacobs. He is also the co-founder of the carbonated water brand Miracle Seltzer and the owner of Paradise Gallery, which he founded in 2021 in his hometown of Sutton, Massachusetts.

Shinknownsuke
A graphic designer/artist living in Tokyo, he began his career in earnest after his solo exhibition in LA in 2017. He has provided graphics for leading Tokyo select shops such as MIN-NANO, SUPPLY, and BEND, as well as domestic and international brands such as Goldwin, BOTT, thisisneverthat®, Better, Divinities, The Good Company, and GOODHOOD. He is also active as part of multiple units, including UPPERLAKE MOB with GORO (MIN-NANO), UND with FACE, and SD FAM with DOX.
