Saki Obata “Records of the Seasons 2”

Obata Saki "Seasonal Record 2"

Venue: Gallery Commune

We are pleased to present "Seasonal Records 2," an exhibition by Obata Saki, who is popular for her "Seasonal Records" series, which depicts the narrative-rich four seasons of Japan. This exhibition will mark the release of the long-awaited collection, "Seasonal Records 2," and will feature the first public showing of 20 new works.
Once again, her signature skillful perspective and cinematic sensibility, with the exquisite placement of props that enrich the scene, are alive and well. In addition, sharp lines play a major role as an element that expresses the more minimalist world of her work. The world that immediately draws you in may be a scene you've seen somewhere, or a moment you've experienced in the past. We look forward to seeing you there.

As the seasons change, we realize that we have attached memories to them.
What comes to mind when you feel the warm breeze of spring, see the shadows cast by the strong sunlight of summer, hear the sounds of insects in autumn, or smell the crisp air of winter?
This time, I hope you will enjoy the original artwork of my new work, "Records of Seasons," which is my personal theme.
