We are pleased to present "Pearly Gates," the first solo exhibition by London-based graphic designer/artist Roydon Misseldine.
This exhibition represents an expansion of the creative work Roydon has been developing. He gathers images, words, and various visual elements from the world around him, deconstructing them, and reconstructing them through new combinations. Through this iterative process of collecting, breaking, and reassembling, each element gradually detaches from its original context, giving rise to new forms and relationships.
Having previously engaged with imagery across a variety of media such as books, apparel, and flyers, the canvas works presented here serve as a new platform for Roydon to manifest his visual expression. As different elements gather and overlap on a single surface, their individual meanings and relationships fluctuate, prompting a variety of perspectives and interpretations from the viewer.
"Pearly Gates" focuses on the expressions born from his new body of work, set against the backdrop of his established graphic practice. We invite you to experience his current expression, shaped by the spontaneity, free-thinking, and unexpected encounters between images that emerge from his creative process.
