Group Exhibition “Pure Curiosity”

Commune co-curated the Ace Hotel's "Artist In Residence" program from September 2024 to August 2025. In this program, four artists - Daniel David Freeman, Emma Kohlmann, Shiori Ikeno, and ancco - spent one month at the Ace Hotel Kyoto to create works, and then presented the results of their work in a three-month exhibition.

Gallery Commune will be holding a group exhibition featuring four participating artists, centered around the project's annual theme, "Pure Curiosity." This will be an opportunity for those who were unable to see the exhibition at Ace Hotel Kyoto, as well as those who have already seen it, to enjoy it from a new perspective. We hope you will come and visit us.

A!R | Ace Artist in Residence
