ernest project Show
EXHIBITION |October 17, 2025 (Friday) - November 8, 2025 (Saturday)
Opening Reception: Friday, October 17th, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Venue: Gallery Commune
Hiroshi Tanigawa, owner of the Hatagaya-based vintage clothing store "PALETOWN," will be holding an exhibition through his "ernest project," which uses his keen aesthetic eye to unearth and collect items that strike a chord, with a focus on vintage folk art.
Based on his travels to America, which he takes several times a year, he collects a variety of masterpieces and rare items, inspired and confused by his one-sided imagination.
Who created them and why? These beloved found objects, discovered using intuition, touch and a little knowledge, along with dates and messages written on them, will now be released.
This exhibition will feature a mix of works by unknown artists and works by artists who are close to Tanigawa. Based on Tanigawa's characteristic idea of viewing the old and new on an equal footing, ernest project will present new value.
In addition to the exhibited works, new merchandise will also be on sale at the venue.
We look forward to seeing you all.
