Lilian Martinez Print Exhibition "BALCONY / COCO / INTERIOR ARCHIVE / BLUE / PAJAMA"
EXHIBITION |Saturday, April 10, 2021 - Wednesday, April 21, 2021
Venue: Gallery Commune
This exhibition will feature prints by Lillian Martinez, an artist who uses her work to raise questions about the history of human rights for women, particularly women of color, and who combines classical architectural elements with contemporary pop culture to create stories that blend the past, present, and future. She is also the founder of bfgf.
Two new screen prints and three litho prints will be on display. All of the screen prints were printed in Tokyo and immediately sent to Lilian's home in Yucca Valley, California, where she personally signed them. This will be the first time they have traveled so far. We look forward to seeing you there.
