We are pleased to present "LOST IN THE SAUCE," an exhibition by Bráulio Amado, a Portuguese graphic designer and illustrator based in New York.

This exhibition marks Amado's first showing of paintings. They are a diverse, playful, chaotic and heady collection of colours. He describes the exhibition in his unique way, likening his art materials to sauce: "Imagine you're eating spaghetti with a lot of tomato sauce and you accidentally spill it all over yourself."

I think the appeal of Bráulio Amado lies in his vast range of talents and his imagination. He cooks any ingredient using a variety of techniques, without being bound by stereotypes, and finally adds a touch of humor to create the ultimate dish. The exhibition title translates to "Confused about the Sauce." For him, the act of uncertainty is a positive aspect of the creative process, and from there he finds a way forward, completing his work as his own expression. This exhibition will reveal a glimpse of his golden formula.

He has a message that is very much in line with his style for the exhibition: "This is the first time I've held an exhibition of works that I've created entirely by hand, without using a computer. If you don't like these works, don't worry. I've also made a zine to go with the exhibition, in my usual style. And there's a video too!"

Enjoy the energetic space where approximately 50 works will be on display.
