Venue: Gallery Commune

Starting on Saturday, January 22nd, we will be hosting the exhibition "A Spell Too Far" by New York-based artist Lina Sun Park and photographer David Brandon Geeting.
The two artists' collaborative works, created during the self-isolation period from 2020 to 2021, unfold a strange, dreamlike, and slightly unusual, one-of-a-kind world that they themselves call "transcendental art and craft." These works have been released as a collection titled "A Spell Too Far" by Shanghai publishing label and studio Same Paper, with the meaning of "the world after a magic spell goes wrong."

This exhibition is co-organized by Same Paper and gallery commune, and will feature 11 photographs and two three-dimensional works that are also included in the collection.
Lina is in charge of hair and makeup, styling, and detailed handiwork, while David is in charge of the photography, making this a perfect example of collaboration that dramatically improves quality and expressiveness. We invite you to enjoy a dreamy and luxurious world that lies between dreams and reality.

Lina Sun Park | Lina Sun Park is a New York-based artist known for her work using ephemeral materials, textiles, and personally significant items. She has recently been gaining attention for her collaboration with JennyFax.

David Brandon Geeting is a New York-based photographer whose work transcends genres, creating a meditative yet strange world. His innovative style has earned him widespread acclaim, including recent work on visuals for Post Malone x Crocs, Helmut Lang, and Marc Jacobs, as well as artist photography for Oneohtrix Point Never.
